ISRO Releases a Picture of Vikram Taken by Pragyan

ISRO released a stunning picture of the Vikram lander clicked by Pragyan, the rover on X(formerly called Twitter) on Wednesday, 30 August. It was clicked by the Navigation Camera(NavCam) on board the rover. Two of the scientific instruments, ChaSTE and ILSA can be seen below the body of the lander.

The Chandra Surface Thermophysical Experiment (ChaSTE) has drilled 20 cm deep into the surface of the Moon and released a graph showing the variation of temperature with depth.

The above graph shows observations of the ChaSTE payload and as we can see, the temperature decreases rapidly with increasing depth.

That is all for this post. Stay tuned and follow this blog to get the latest updates on ISRO missions on Cosmexplainers!
